Take on this 3 days Fes to Sahara desert. Our team will pick you up from your Hotel in Fes, setting the stage for an adventure to Ifrane and Midelt. Traverse the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains, with Azrou’s cedar forest revealing Barbary apes. Continue to Midelt’s hills, then through Tizi Ntalghamt pass and Ziz Valley, hinting at the desert’s approach.
Enjoy the landscapes changing from Errachidia before journeying through Ziz Valley to Erfoud and Rissani.
Arrive in Merzouga desert with possibility to do camel ride today for sunset or keep it for tomorrow as it will be less driving, greeted with mint tea, savor dinner by your luxury camp in the middle of the desert.
The whole day is spent in the desert. “Date with the sunrise” If you are In the middle of the desert, it`s absolutely worth getting up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you´ve ever seen at the top of a dune close to the Glamping and enjoy this landscape, which is a gift of nature.
After sunrise we return to the camp on the where a hearty breakfast is waiting for us. Then we`ll skirt the Sahara desert, great extension of sandy desert where we can find the Big Dune of Morocco. which has more than 250mts high. We continue then by the road that was formerly used for the “Paris – Dakar” and ends in the mountains that limit with Algeria. Stop at Mfis where we can find Fossiles quarries still present in the area, we continue then by a road where we can see nomad settlements and learn their secrets and manners.
The next stop will be at a viewpoint to contemplate the whole big dune. We`ll reach then Khamilia Village, originally from Mali, where we´ll take a relaxing cup of tea meanwhile we listen to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa.
Transfer to your accommodation and free afternoon to enjoy the town or the dunes next to the camp to see the sunset. Dinner and night in the tent.

Leaving Fez, the journey offered stunning scenery as we crossed the Middle Atlas Mountains, with plenty of opportunities for stretch breaks and photo stops. The highlight for the kids was definitely the camel trek in the Merzouga Desert – a unique and exciting experience. The desert camp had a bonfire with Berber music and storytelling, which the whole family enjoyed. The comfortable tents and delicious meals made the experience even more enjoyable. The highlight was definitely reaching the Merzouga Desert – the camel trek at sunrise allowed us to witness the breathtaking transformation of the dunes as the sun painted them with vibrant colors.
